Hi, I’m Alvaro Etcheverry, an ASCA-certified massage therapist and full-time nerd when it comes to the human body. Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, a specific injury, or just need to unwind, I’m here to help. I combine traditional manual therapy techniques with modern, research-backed treatments – all while keeping things light and fun.

Drawing from my own experience as a professional musician, I’ve also developed specialized services for singers, instrumentalists, and conductors. These treatments are tailored to the unique demands of these fields, and can help you feel your best on and off stage.

So, if you’d like to experience the benefits of massage therapy in a welcoming studio, check out the treatment options below.

Available styles

Relaxing

Drift off into a deep state of calmness with the help of long and slow gliding movements, light and quick strokes, soothing rocking motions, and joint mobilizations, all meant to to promote a state of deep rest and relaxation for your body and your mind. Allow your nervous system to take a break.

Therapeutic

A deeply therapeutic experience that can aid in managing chronic pain, recovering from stress, and improving your mobility and comfort after an injury. This massage includes firm pressure, trigger point therapy, stretching, and joint mobilizations, among other highly restorative techniques.

Bodywork for musicians

Singing, playing, and conducting are activities that often require our muscles and joints to work in a repetitive manner, sometimes while sitting or standing for hours at a time and with the added pressure of having to perform in public. These can be contributing factors behind chronic pain, stiffness, repetitive strain injuries (RSI), tendonitis, and other symptoms that affect our performance and quality of life.

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, or seeking ways to enhance your well-being and to explore a more diverse “movement diet”, I offer personalized massages and restorative bodywork informed by my own observations and experiences as a professional musician.

Students benefit from a 10% discount on all services. Use the code STUDENT during checkout.

Yes. I am a therapist certified by ASCA, making my services eligible for reimbursement through your complementary insurance provider (Zusatzversicherung).

It’s important to note that insurance coverage varies, and not all services may be included. I recommend clients verify in advance whether their selected therapy and therapist are eligible for reimbursement under their specific insurance plan.

While there isn’t much preparation needed for your massage, please be considerate regarding personal hygiene.

If possible, please arrive without products on your skin – sunscreen, insect repellent, and some lotions can create an undesirable consistency when mixed with massage oil. Additionally, to ensure a pleasant experience for both you and me, please refrain from using any heavily scented products before your appointment.

There’s no need to shave before your massage.

If you’re looking to address general muscle tension, manage stress, or simply enjoy the benefits of regular massage, you’re welcome to book appointments at the studio as frequently as you’d like, based on your schedule and budget. There’s no such thing as too often or too seldom. Massage therapy involves applying pressure and movement, both of which are beneficial to your nervous system and your trillions of cells, so your body will be happy to receive them at any time.

If you’re dealing with chronic pain or recovering from an injury, we’ll work together to develop a treatment plan that suits your individual needs. This will involve determining the frequency of your sessions based on your unique situation.

Even during an intense session, I aim to keep discomfort within tolerable limits. I do not agree with the “no pain, no gain” mentality for massage therapy, specially if you are dealing with chronic pain or sensitization. I encourage you to communicate your pressure preferences openly, as well as any discomfort you may be experiencing during the session

Aside from the numerous potential benefits of massage therapy, there is always the possibility of some temporary side effects. Most commonly, this involves some potential soreness (similar to post-workout soreness), localized or general fatigue, or some minor bruising (less common, but possible after deep work). If you have any concerns about these or any other potential side effects, please don’t hesitate to discuss them with me before your session.

I attempt to keep the studio at a comfortable temperature for the average preference (including mine). I can provide blankets for added warmth and comfort.

It’s up to you whether to remove your underwear or not. Certain underwear might limit direct access to a specific area (the hip muscles, for example), but there are always alternative techniques that can be done through clothing.

Regardless of your choice, you will always be covered with a sheet, and I only undrape the specific areas I am working on at any given time.

Currently, TOUCH consists of just me! The best solution I can offer for now is to book back-to-back massages for both of you.

I don’t. If you’re looking for such services, I recommend searching for tantric masseurs in your area.

Offer your senses
a break.
